Workshops

Two-Day Workshop with Dina Martinez
Time: 7-10 Monday July 19th
Cover/Fee: $20 per class

This is a great opportunity to learn from a true
tango Master Dina Martinez. She will be here
Monday July 19th and Tuesday July 20th.

Dina Martinez from Buenos Aires, from the
renowned studio at El Motivo, a co-teacher with
Luciana Valle, will be visiting us to teach 2 days of
classes next week before her return to Argentina
next week. Dina has been dancing tango for 23
years; Her first steps were with Ernesto Carmona,
and with several important tango masters such as
Gustavo Naveira, Antonio Todaro, Pepito Avellaneda
and Mariano “Chicho” Frúmboli. She has been
teaching almost that long with Valencia Batiuk and
Luciana Valle. She brings a deep knowledge of
tango to her teaching.

I am lucky that to be a part of making this possible.
I know it is "last minute", but it is just too good to
pass up! She will be teaching a series of 2 classes
Monday and Tuesday night , 7pm and 8:15pm
followed by a 45 minute guided practica. Cost will
be $20 per class which includes the practica. (She
will also be available for privates. (contact Mary
Kelly for details).

I hope everyone will be able to take advantage of
this unique opportunity with a true tango master!

Class topics TBA. We will post in next day or two (I
anticipate a women's technique class, including
work on the women's free leg, as well as a mix of
some intermediate material) And guys, Dina is also
a leader, a great leader, so classes will include
instruction for leaders as well.

Please email Me, Mary Kelly, at
francoisevalle@yahoo.com to save your space.
(classes will be limited to 16 people to allow more
attention and teaching.)

Practices

Convergence Tango Practice
Location: Monday Club, The
Time: 8:30 pm to 10 pm
Cover/Fee: $5 pp

This is a guided practica/partner required. This means that
you ask someone from class or at the dance if they have a
partner for the practica, then you come together and
practice something specific. I will be available to answer
questions on the things you are working on. This is not a
class to introduce new material rather a chance to work out
the kinks on things you have perhaps been struggling with or
to explore new ways to put it all together. This is multi level
as everyone will be working with the partner they brought!
This is open to all who wish to develop their tango more.
